At least it gives the Board a decent amount of time to find a replacement.

Brady has done well for the club - but I doubt she is the only reason and I'm sure we can find a like for like of not better replacement.

Good luck Karren.

If it's true of course!

Good Luck Karen.

Now, will this mean that a restraining hand is being taken away from the two Davids ? Will they appoint someone who is going to be strong enough to keep them in check, especially their more whimsical fancies and contradictions.

if it's true then thanks very much Karren. apart from...

Apparently David Sullivan, David Gold & Ralph Gold were prepared to completely rebuild the stadium in 1988, but plans were redrawn after Karren Brady made a visit to Old Trafford, and saw what had been achieved there.

and the pack of lies told to us in recent times.

now lets get in a new MD with fresh ideas and drive!

I believe that that some although they don't realise, will begin to realise how much we will miss her at the club and within the PLC.

IMO Karren Brady will leave followed by DS & DG. She obviously knows something we don't.

Just rumours in early editions I think - icBirmimgham and the Birmimgham Mail now carrying this story :

Mail Story

Text copy :

Brady plays down Blues quit rumours - Nov 22 2006

By Neil Elkes, Birmingham Mail

BLUES chief Karren Brady today scotched reports that she had handed in her notice.
She denied speculation that she had asked to leave St Andrew's, saying simply: "That's not the case."
The 37-year-old managing director declined to comment further on speculation surrounding her job.

A spokesman for Birmingham City also confirmed that Ms Brady had not given notice to quit.

Rumours that the Championship promotion contenders' managing director will take up a job running London's top radio station, Capital, have been rife for more than month.

It was also suggested in reports today that a number of other companies may be courting Brady since it became known she could be leaving.

In an interview recently she described Capital as "a fantastic, iconic radio station".

She said it was one she grew up listening to, and she added: "I think the person that had the opportunity to give it back its credibility and soul - that would be a fantastic job.

Ms Brady added: "For me, I've got a 12-month contract with Birmingham and I'm a very honourable person."

She has confirmed the approach from Capital and that she was discussing the move with the Blues board.

It is understood the Blues board could insist on Ms Brady serving out her full 12 months' notice.

She became Blues managing director after he and the Golds bought the club in 1992.

The mother of two has become an influential and combative figure in the world of football politics, earning the respect of other club supremos.

Her friendships with the likes of Peter Kenyon of Chelsea and David Dein of Arsenal have benefited Blues.

Earlier this year she fought back after life-threatening surgery to remove a brain aneurism.

She is married to Derby County and former Blues player Paul Peschisolido.

She has also hosted her own television show, the Brady Bunch, and presented Loose Women and Live Talk on ITV.

Got to be honest, I think she was good for us, but maybe not anymore.

Nobody is Indespensible.

There are plenty out there who imo could do a good job for the position she holds.

lets face it she has done a good job. but things are starting too go pear shaped with the ticket pricing.
maybe she and blues need someone else who is a bit more in touch with the fans , instead of keep finding ways too part us from our money.....

Personally I think she would be a great loss. We probably wont appreciate how much she has done for the club until she's gone. That said, nothing lasts for ever and if she thinks she needs a new challenge then good luck to her.

KB's achievements were all in her first couple of years at St.Andrews : bringing a touch of glamour & bringing a more professional approach to the club management.

Since then she has just been Sully's yes woman, implementing a commercial direction (penny-pinching, money-grabbing, short-term) which has alienated many fans whilst presenting a media friendly face.

I hope that our next MD is not a babe. Maybe then the fans will judge him or her on what they actually do.

Just a thought - but as a listed Company - would BCFC be obliged to inform the stock exchange of the notice being served by the MD?

If so, then there's no substance to the 'rumours'.

Surely when your MD goes you just get somebody else in?

I can't see what all the fuss is about but I've just looked into my crystal ball and I can see a future in sports journalism for a Mr P Peschisolido from Knowle.

Bye Tom.

If the story is true then fair play to her- she owes the Blues nothing. It will be sad to see her go but I also think a fresh start is 99% of the time a good thing.

Karen has contributed much of her business life to Blues, and we should be grateful. She has also suffered great ill health whilst at the helm.

On the other hand, she has faught against and been instrumental in getting rid of two managers. Faught for and been instrumental in keepin one manager that led us to relegation.

The relations between Blues and the Council are at rock bottom, thanks to Karren's abrasive and domineering methods of communication. She will find it very, very hard to transfer her interpersonal skills to a workplace that is not full of yes-men and yes-women.Where she no longer has a whip hand of 100% support from the owners, she will have to radically change her style of leadership.

Karren was a novelty at the begining, but is just the acceptable face of money-making now.

Good luck to her, anyway

Interesting that you fail to mention of the managers she 'faught against' one got us relegated to what is now League 1 and the other failed to get us promoted from this **** poor league we are in now in 4 attempts.

The one she 'faught for' got us promoted and kept us in the promised land for 4 years.

So ?

What exactly is your point Tim ? That I failed to mention that, or that she quite possibly "tapped up" Bruce when he was in a job - before he went to Palace, or that she advised him against the Palace job because there might be one at Blues (when we already had a manager in place?)
